Directions for Use
Use as cricket carrier or holding pen. To feed crickets to your animal, simply slide a tube out of the Exo Terra Cricket Pen and allow the flapper to drop down to prevent escapes. If needed, cover the tube opening with one hand while transporting it to the terrarium or feeder. Remove your hand and lightly tap the tube to release the desired number of crickets. (To help avoid possibility of escapees remove only one tube at a time.)
Cricket Care
Crickets should be kept in a well-ventilated room at a temperature range between 70-75 °F (21-23 °C), out of direct sunlight and cold drafts. Always keep the cricket pen clean and dry. High quality cricket food and water source should be provided at all times, both of which should be offered in the shallow food and water dishes provided. A moist sponge or similar is best for water source (do not allow water to pool as the crickets may drown), or a water gel product may be used if desired.
Cleaning Instructions
Clean the unit regularly. Remove all crickets, debris and waste, wash the entire unit with hot soapy water (use a basic mild dish washing liquid), then RINSE THOROUGHLY with clean water. A final rinse with with a slight solution of bleach is recommended to minimize possibility of any pathogens that might harm your crickets (or your animal).
